2. Website Use

You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, scrape content, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person, submit false information, or use the website to violate any law or third-party right.

3. No Final Contract Through Website Use

Information on this website is for general informational and marketing purposes only. Submitting a form, requesting a quote, scheduling a call, or receiving preliminary information does not create a binding construction, installation, financing, engineering, procurement, or service contract. Any project is subject to written agreement, site review, technical review, permitting, utility approval, AHJ review, financing approval if applicable, incentive-program approval if applicable, and final acceptance by Homestead Energy.

4. Estimates, Savings, Incentives, and Project Information

Any preliminary savings estimate, production estimate, tax credit estimate, rebate estimate, incentive estimate, payback period, utility bill offset, system size, equipment description, interconnection assumption, or project schedule is an estimate only and is not guaranteed unless expressly stated in a signed written agreement.

Actual results may vary based on weather, site conditions, shading, soiling, snow, utility rates, usage patterns, equipment availability, utility rules, permitting requirements, incentive-program rules, tax eligibility, system operation, maintenance, and other factors outside our control.

Homestead Energy does not provide legal, tax, accounting, financial, or utility-rate advice. Customers should consult their own tax advisor, attorney, accountant, lender, and utility provider before relying on tax credits, depreciation, incentives, financing terms, or projected savings.

5. Solar and Energy Claims

Homestead Energy intends all marketing claims to be truthful, supportable, and not misleading. Any environmental, renewable-energy, energy-savings, utility-savings, “green,” “clean energy,” carbon-reduction, or similar claim is based on available information and assumptions at the time presented. Such claims are subject to site-specific facts, utility data, equipment performance, grid mix, incentive rules, and other changing factors.

No statement on this website should be interpreted as a guarantee that a customer will eliminate an electric bill, receive a particular incentive, receive a particular tax credit, qualify for a particular financing product, or achieve a specific financial return.

6. Permits, Utilities, AHJs, and Incentive Programs

Projects may require review or approval by utilities, local authorities having jurisdiction, building departments, electrical inspectors, zoning authorities, incentive-program administrators, state agencies, financing providers, and other third parties. Homestead Energy is not responsible for delays, denials, additional requirements, rule changes, utility upgrades, interconnection costs, incentive changes, or authority decisions outside its control unless expressly stated in a signed written agreement.

7. Third-Party Products and Services

We may reference, recommend, use, coordinate with, or link to third-party products and services, including manufacturers, engineering providers, subcontractors, utilities, lenders, finance platforms, monitoring platforms, permitting platforms, CRM providers, software providers, and incentive administrators. We are not responsible for third-party websites, policies, warranties, representations, denials, delays, data practices, financing decisions, or services unless expressly required by law or a signed written agreement.

8. Website Content and Intellectual Property

All website content, including text, graphics, logos, designs, forms, images, documents, layouts, and other materials, is owned by Homestead Energy or used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or use our content for commercial purposes without written permission.

9. Customer Submissions

If you submit information, photos, utility bills, project documents, property information, energy usage data, drawings, coordinates, messages, or other materials, you represent that you have the right to provide them. You authorize Homestead Energy to use that information to evaluate, design, quote, coordinate, document, administer, and support your requested project or service.

Do not submit confidential, sensitive, financial, or third-party information unless necessary for your request.

10. Communications Consent

By submitting your contact information, you authorize Homestead Energy and its employees, representatives, agents, service providers, and project partners to contact you regarding your inquiry, project, appointment, quote, service, contract, account, or related opportunities.

Communications may include phone calls, emails, text messages, SMS/MMS messages, direct mail, prerecorded/artificial voice messages, automated dialing systems, appointment reminders, project updates, service messages, and marketing communications where permitted by law.

Consent to marketing calls or text messages is not required as a condition of purchasing goods or services. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary.

You may opt out of marketing text messages by replying STOP. You may request help by replying HELP. You may also contact us at [Insert Email] or [Insert Phone] to update your communication preferences.

11. Do Not Call and Opt-Out Requests

Homestead Energy honors applicable opt-out, unsubscribe, and do-not-call requests. If you ask us not to contact you for marketing, we will place your number or email on our internal suppression list as required by law. We may still contact you for non-marketing reasons, such as active project administration, warranty, safety, appointment, billing, legal, or transactional matters, where permitted by law.

12. Cooling-Off, Cancellation, and State Contract Rights

Certain consumer contracts may provide federal or state cancellation rights, including a possible three-business-day cancellation right for certain sales made at a home, workplace, temporary location, or similar setting. Any applicable cancellation rights, notices, and forms will be provided in the written agreement where required.

Website use alone does not replace or modify any cancellation right provided by law or by a signed contract.

13. No Warranties for Website

The website is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, current, or free from viruses or harmful components. Website content may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or typographical mistakes.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Homestead Energy and its owners, officers, employees, representatives, agents, subcontractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from your use of the website, reliance on website content, communications, delays, third-party services, or inability to use the website.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

15. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Homestead Energy from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the website, submission of inaccurate or unauthorized information, violation of these Terms, violation of law, or infringement of another person’s rights.

16. Dispute Resolution

Before filing a legal claim, you agree to contact us at [Insert Email] and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the dispute informally.

Any dispute arising from website use or these Terms will be governed by the laws of the State of [Insert Governing State], without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless another law applies. Venue will be in the state or federal courts located in [Insert County/State], unless prohibited by law.

Optional arbitration and class-action waiver language should be reviewed by legal counsel before publication because enforceability varies by state and consumer context.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Updates are effective when posted unless stated otherwise. Your continued use of the website after updates means you accept the updated Terms.
